Criteria for Hall of Fame Induction

 

ATHLETE NOMINEE:

The qualifications to be inducted as a student-athlete into the East Longmeadow High School Athletic Hall of Fame

are as follows:

 

The nominee through athletic achievement must have brought distinction and honor to herself or himself, to the

East Longmeadow High School, and to the interscholastic athletic program.

 

The nominee must be an East Longmeadow High School graduate and at least 10 years removed from his/her high school graduation.

 

The nominee must have participated as a student-athlete in the East Longmeadow High School System for at least (2) years.

 

The nominee may have received recognition for exceptional athletic performance (Such as Conference Champion, State Champion,

All League, All Western Mass, All State, All New England, or All American).

 

The nominee must have displayed integrity and be of good character both on and off the field.

 

The nominee is to be considered for his/her achievements in interscholastic athletics.

 

The nominee may be inducted posthumously.

 

COACH NOMINEE:

The qualifications to be inducted as a coach into the East Longmeadow High School Athletic Hall of Fame

are as follows:

 

The nominee must have served as a coach for the East Longmeadow High School Athletic Department.

 

The nominee must have made a substantial impact and brought credit, distinction and honor to the East Longmeadow

High School Athletic Department.

 

The nominee must have shown dedication to the growth and development of  her/his student-athletes both on and off the field of play.

 

The nominee must have displayed integrity and be of good character both on and off the field.

 

The nominee is to be considered for his/her coaching achievements while coaching in the East Longmeadow High School System.

 

The nominee may be inducted posthumously.

 

CONTRIBUTOR NOMINEE:

The qualifications to be inducted as a contributor into the East Longmeadow High School Athletic Hall of Fame

are as follows:

 

The Hall of Fame Committee may honor a special individual who has shown significant support for the East Longmeadow

High School Athletic program.

 

The nominee must be an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the athletic program(s) on a school

or town wide scale in some capacity.

 

The nominee must have displayed integrity and be of good character both on and off the field.

 

The nominee may be inducted posthumously.

TEAM NOMINEE:

The qualifications to be inducted as a former team into the East Longmeadow High School Athletic Hall of Fame

are as follows:

 

The nominee through athletic achievement must have brought distinction and honor to itself, to the East Longmeadow

High School System, and to the interscholastic athletic program.

 

The nominee must be at least 10 years removed from the high school graduation of the team senior player(s).

 

The nominee must have participated as a team in the East Longmeadow High School System.

 

The nominee may have received recognition for exceptional athletic performance (Such as Conference Champions,

League Champions, Western Massachusetts Champions, State Champions, New England Champions or All American Champions)

 

The nominee must have displayed integrity and good character both on and off the field.

 

The nominee is to be considered for their achievements in interscholastic athletics.

 

 

Note: Under extenuating circumstances, specific criteria may be waived by a two-thirds vote of the Board of Directors.

 

Nomination forms may be picked up at the East Longmeadow High School Office and should be postmarked or returned
